Thailand is full of beautiful landscapes, but nothing beats the country’s beaches. The breath-taking sea, sun and sand is a paradise that cannot be replicated. Thailand should be on everyone’s bucket list, and when you go, don’t miss these amazing beaches during your travels.
1. Koh Munnork
If you’ve always dreamed of spending time on a deserted island, Koh Mun Nork is probably the closest you’ll get. This tiny island has just one resort on it and just a handful of villas to stay in. You’ll have to catch a boat to reach this island paradise, but the nearly private beach is well worth the effort.
2. Maya Bay, Koh Phi Phi Ley
Maya Bay is a great place to check out if you are already in Phuket. Just jump on a boat and enjoy the scenery for a couple of hours. While the area used to be strictly backpacker material, there are plenty of new, modern resorts available if you prefer the comforts of home to a hammock in the sand. You can walk anywhere on the island, so there is no need for transportation once you’ve arrived
3. Railey Beach, Krabi
Railey Beach is on the mainland, but it can only be reached by boat. Jungle and limestone cliffs form natural barricades and make this little space feel secluded. If you fancy a solitary vacation, this could be just the ticket!
4. White Sand Beach, Koh Chang
This gorgeous beach boasts white sand as the name suggests, but it’s also a relatively peaceful place to catch some rays. Rent a motorcycle to get to and from the beach and to explore the island of Koh Chang.
5. Haad Rin, Koh Pha Ngan
Looking for a little local fun? Haad Rin is the place to be each month for the full moon. Haad Rin is actually made up of two beaches on opposite sides of a narrow spit of land. One faces east (Sunrise Beach) and the other faces west (Sunset Beach). This is where full moon celebrations are held every month, drawing people from around the world.
