Ten Affordable Cruelty Free Cosmetics

Econistas: Cruelty Free & Cute (don’t @ me) series highlights cruelty-free makeup or cosmetic brands across different cultures and ethnicities. We list cruelty-free brands irrespective of parent companies. If a brand is owned by a company that isn’t cruelty-free, you’ll find an ** beside the brand and the parent company will be noted.

We are almost done with 2019 and some people are still supporting cosmetic companies that are still testing on animals – whether they know it or not. While we are not here to judge, we are here to encourage you to start incorporating more cruelty-free cosmetics to your constantly growing cosmetics collection. We have taken the guesswork out of endlessly searching for which companies to support and made a great list of the best cruelty-free companies you should be trying.

Here 10 companies you should start supporting right now:

1. Cruelty-Free Cosmetics – Honest Beauty

When speaking to Refinery29, Jessica Alba – yes, the actress and also the founder of the Honest Company – said, “I’ve always had a passion for clean beauty because I have terrible allergies. I have very sensitive skin, so I was always looking out for cleaner products. I didn’t want to sneeze or have a rash.”

4. Cruelty-Free Cosmetics – Thayers

They’ve started to gain popularity with their wonderful Witch Hazel toner that we use here at Adiree! We definitely suggest getting your hands on some of it. Mara Leighton from Business Insider wrote a review about the product. Here’s what she said, “the Thayers’ Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner was indeed gentle, relatively non-drying, and did the job of helping clean off the vestiges of earlier cleansers so the rest of my skin-care routine could sink in more effectively. My pores also looked noticeably smaller, and I’ve started using it as an effective spot-treatment to isolate and treat blemishes as they pop up.”
